Thanks for the tip - but I'd still like to try your patched nagios binary. Can I confirm that opsview-base/patches/nagios_nudge_max_concurrent_checks.patch is the correct patchfile ? And that the usual "configure / Make" in the opsview-base/nagios-3.x.x dir should generate the necessary nagios binary in the base subdir ? I'm guessing it's just the nagios binary which will need replacing.
