Good news: I've just finished the development of this. It's called
"Host
Attributes" and will be part of 3.7.1. Documentation here:

Wow! I'm drooling!
Can you enlighten us with some previewed use cases?
I'm imagining that you could define an attribute named "mountpoint"
for service check "check disk", then define mountpoint "/", "/var",
"/var/log" for a host, and that would automatically monitor your
partitions. ¿am I right?
If so... Will I then be able to create a service check "check
network" bound to "interface" attribute, and then have a host with
interfaces attribute "eth0", "eth1", "eth2"?
Will the result for the host then be that you monitor all partitions
and all network interfaces?
The short answer is: yes.
