Position: *Websphere ECommerce* Location: Dublin, Ohio Duration: 1-Year contract Required skills: admin / engineering of 2 or more of the following technologies: IBM WebSphere Application Server 7.0 IBM Commerce 7.0 IBM Portal 7.0 Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) 6.0 Great to have experience: WebSphere ExtremeScale Commerce Search / SOLR Apache Web Server Job Title: WebSphere eCommerce Platform Engineer MUST HAVES: Expert knowledge of WebSphere Application Server Administration (5+ Yrs Experience) Advanced Knowledge of WebSphere Commerce and Search Administration experience WebSphere Portal and WCM Administration experience Must have the ability to learn new technologies on the job Must have good oral and written communication skills Must be proficient in Linux and Unix Adobe AEM Platform administration experience is a plus Prior development experience is a plus but is not a requirement; there will be no development work for this role. An ideal candidate is someone with the ability to administer the entire eCommerce platform stack (Adobe AEM, WebSphere Portal, WAS, WebSphere Commerce and Search. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide an optimal Level 1 - 3 support for Cardinal's eCommerce Platform namely WebSphere Portal, WebSphere Commerce, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere Commerce Search and Adobe AEM. The resource will be responsible for working with other teams like, application-development, configuration management, release management, performance engineering, quality assurance, database administration, integration services, infrastructure, etc. The resource will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues and must be ready to engage with the teams mentioned above utilizing superior customer service skills and advanced Cardinal product knowledge to resolve customer issues. The following is the list of Technology and their versions: IBM WebSphere Commerce v7.x IBM WebSphere Commerce Search v7.x IBM WebSphere Portal and WCM v7.x IBM WebSphere Application Server v 7.x/8.5.x IBM HTTP Server v7.x/8.5.x Adobe AEM v6.x The resource must be willing and able to work with the off-shore development teams. With the differences in time zones, this may be during night time (US). SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Interact well with all levels of management and across multiple teams Develop and implement technical solutions based on defined business requirements Identify technical environment issues and recommend solutions to mitigate problems Perform analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and installation of new and existing computer systems Test and certify new software and hardware technologies for use in Cardinal environment SKILLS: Experience with Linux (SuSE 10 & 11 and Red Hat 6.5) Excellent testing, technical and analytical skills Experience with CA APM (Wily) Ability to work independently with developers, diagnose and resolve issues quickly Ability to multi-task and complete assigned tasks on time independently Experience with MQ and Message Broker a plus Experience with other JEE application servers a plus Prior JEE development skills a plus Experience with Identify and Access Management systems a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent command of the system development life cycle Expectations: Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects May contribute to the development of policies and procedures Works on complex projects of large scope Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives Completes work independently; receives general guidance on new projects Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Install application server software and create the necessary environments required by the system development life cycle. Configure all environments to each application’s specific requirements (such as JDBC, JMS, web services, High Availability, Session Management, Security, Service Integration Bus, etc.). Proactively tune each environment as well as reactively troubleshoot problems that occur. Provide development support to the application development teams on-shore and off-shore. Design systems architecture including fault tolerance and high availability solutions Work with application project teams to provide feedback on designs and gather requirements for the application server environment Install the WebSphere Application Server, Portal/WCM, and Commerce software on Linux, Unix and Windows based environments Create and modify WebSphere clusters required to implement the different logical environments in the system development life cycle (Dev, test, stage, prod) Create and configure application instances within each of the cells as required Configure security as required (SSL, single sign-on, administrative, application, etc.) Configure the required web server with the server software plug-in Configure the Application server software to each individual application’s requirements (Services Integration Bus – JMS / Web Services, JDBC, Security, MB/MQ integration, etc.) Set up the Application server software and each application to be highly available with the goal of 24x7 up-time Tune the Application server software so that it is optimized for each application. This will include working closely with the application development teams to administer load testing and monitoring Deploy applications to the Application server as well as define and set up automated application deployment mechanisms Provide development support to the application development teams Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation in support of Production systems Research and troubleshoot problems related to the Application server software, the applications that run on them as well as the external systems that they interact with Communicate regularly and effectively with other team members, clients (application developers) and vendors (other technology teams) General WebSphere Portal responsibilities: Setting up Portal infrastructure for large environments with clustering and failover capabilities Apply Portal fix packs Publish themes and skins Work with Pages: create pages, set page layout, set page permissions and export pages Understand Portlet security and permissions Add or activate existing or new portlets to a page and manage permissions Use xml access to generate deployment scripts, export themes, export WCM libraries Work on creating Portal friendly URLs and understand how it’s used for Web Content Good understanding of WSRP, JSR 168 and JSR 286 Portlets Good understanding of how Portal integrates with external security managers Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tracing Apply fixes and fix packs Install feature packs and enable features Deploy and update customized code Monitor and tune system performance General WCM Administration responsibilities: Understand how syndication works Configure syndication between environments Publish content, update content library permissions Understand access controls WebSphere Commerce Server: Setting up Commerce FEP7 infrastructure for large environments with clustering and failover capabilities Administration of WebSphere Commerce and Search environments Creating and publishing multiple Store Front Sites Configure scheduler jobs, access control, data uploads and catalogs Perform ongoing site and store administration and maintenance tasks Configure WebSphere Commerce messaging transports Set up and control WebSphere Commerce site security Load data into WebSphere Commerce database Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tracing Apply fixes and fix packs Install feature packs and enable features Deploy and update customized code Monitor and tune system performance Adobe AEM Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot AEM 6.x Good understanding of the following areas in AEM Files and directory structure. Create, build, download and install packages. User and Group permissions. Adjusting logging configuration. Backup, Secure and integration of LDAP Setting up replication and content publishing. Troubleshoot general server issues.
