*Job Title : Business Intelligence Analyst and Tester Location : Reston, VA Duration : 12 months Rate : $60/Hr* Responsible for gathering and assessing business information needs and preparing system requirements. Performs analyses of olap dimensions for Cognos cube in a data warehouse environment which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation. Uses data mining and data analysis tools. Interacts with user community to produce reporting requirements. Provides technical consulting to users of the various data warehouses and advises users on conflicts and inappropriate data usage. Responsible for preparing test scripts to test aforementioned cube. Maintains knowledge of software tools, languages, scripts, and shells that effectively support the data warehouse environment in different operating system environments. Possesses working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and data warehouse front-end tools. Must have an extensive knowledge of data warehouse and data mart concepts as well as Business Intelligence tools .Performs work that is complex and varied in nature. Defines and discerns key aspects of a problem and develops an integrated solution within a broad technical and business context of significant impact. May provide guidance/training to more junior staff. Required Skills:* Requires mastery technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. Typically possesses 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience. Strong Data Warehousing skills required.
