- 5-7 years of hands-on development experience building
customer-facing, high availability web applications
Experience and familiarity with health care, Health Care
information systems, EMR/EHR/CPOE preferred; additional points for
experience working with HL7
- Expertise with object oriented software development in an
iterative methodology
- Expertise with Content Management systems and concepts
- Experience with messaging and data transfer tools and
techniques
- Proficiency in one or more languages with demonstrated
expertise in at least one – preferably Java, Ruby, or Python
- Expertise with MVC frameworks (Spring, Grails, Rails,
Django)
- Expertise with javascript frameworks like jQuery, prototype,
Sensa
- Experienced with data modeling techniques
- SQL database experience is a must; NoSQL database experience
is a bonus
- Experience building and consuming web services (REST, SOAP)
- Knowledge of application servers and web servers (Tomcat,
Passenger)
- Experienced with various ORM solutions (hibernate, ibatis,
ActiveRecord, etc)
- Familiarity with web security concepts
- Must love testing – think TDD, JUnit
- Experience with Maven
- Experienced with CI using Cruise Control, Hudson, Bamboo,
etc.
- Familiar with version management tools including SVN, Git
- Excellent problem solving skills, communication skills and
attention to detail
