JOB DETAILS
Project Manager
Jacksonville, FL.
Long term contract / contract to hire
Start date: August 1st 2013
All positions will be filled by senior level persons with a minimum of 5 years
of experience in this technical discipline. Preference is for onsite, and may
involve some light travel to remote offices. All candidates will be expected to
function within our defined project management processes and to become familiar
with our PPM toolset.
Specific Expectations include
. Strong track record of leading successful major change projects/programs from
start to finish as the lead IT Project Manager
. Ability to think strategically (big picture) and tactically in regards to
project planning, scoping, budgeting, and quality
. Responsible for leading projects of all sizes, including those with
stakeholders in different geographic locations
. Has worked within an IT PMO and has understanding and appreciation of
processes/procedures and governance required to lead large projects and programs
. Leading large teams in a matrix environment of various types of roles and
skills
. Ability to facilitate and coordinate meetings in an effective manner
. Ability to lead several projects at once that have a common strategic goal
. Accountable for delivering results for large/complex/cross-functional project
initiatives within established time frames and quality measures
. Direct resources on assigned projects and ensure clarity of project roles and
responsibilities
. Translate project goals/objectives into a defined future state and project
success measures that can be understood by project stakeholders and delivered
by
the project team
. Ensures business needs and objectives are effectively captured in functional
and nonfunctional business requirements for a system and/or process/workflow
. Manage business requirements to meet expected business solutions and trace
delivery of requirements through to testing and final delivery
. Conduct periodic steering committee meetings with executives, senior
management, and key stakeholders to communicate high-level project status,
obtain
critical decisions and guidance, and ensure continuous organizational
commitment
Demonstrated expertise with
. Project Management Methodology is required
Preferred experience with
. AtTask, or similar PPM tools, is highly preferred
. PMI PMP and/or Agile Scrum Master Certification
