Title: Oracle 7, C, Embedded SQL, Open VMS Developer
Location: Kalamazoo, MI
Duration: 4+ Months
Rate: $50/Ph MAX

*This position will be responsible for developing an interface
from a Manufacturing application to a Laboratory Information Management
System (LIMS) using a Combination of Oracle 7, C, Embedded SQL, and
OpenVMS.
Primary responsibilities will include:
1) Developing custom modules using *Oracle* *7*, *C*, and *embedded SQL.*
2) Conducting *unit/module testing* and *source code reviews.*
3) Create Requirements, Technical Specifications, Detailed Design
Specifications,
and Test Protocols.
4) Will work as a liaison between Business Customers and the Technical Lead
to understand user requirements and technical design requirements.
This position may include authoring technical support documentation and
participation in unit/module and integration testing.

*Required Background
*
Candidate will have a minimum of *6+years* of IT experience as an
Application Developer using *C* with *embedded SQL*, *Oracle 7* and *OpenVMS
*.
Additional skills required are -- Technical Writing, an attention to
detail, strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to
communicate and work effectively with internal business customers,
management, and IT staff in person, over the phone, and through e-mail. Good
decision making and problem solving skills; ability to work with vendor
supplied software packages; structured work habits; strong organization
skills.

*
Current programming experience with *C,* embedded *SQL*,* Oracle 7,*along with
*OpenVMS* is required.
Experience with AB's (Applied Biosystems) *SQL*LIMS 3.3.4* is highly
desirable, but not required.
Knowledge of computer validation, *21 CFR Part 11* compliance (electronic
records and signatures) and familiarity with *cGXP* regulations; and
*pharmaceutical
QA/QC* laboratory business processes are also highly desirable, but not
required.
