SQL DBA / Senior Systems Admin Summary Of Position: Overall management and support of SQL, Oracle and MS Project applications and databases. Interact with peers and management to support the productivity goals in compliance with policies and procedures Duties: Principal responsibilities include but not limited to: * Provide system/application support in the resolution of SQL and Oracle database and application issues. * Responsible for providing administration and technical support for MS Project and MS Project Server. * Support design and develop modifications as identified by the business and project stakeholders. * Installation, configuration, patching and upgrading of MS Project application / server software and related products. * Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. * Provide development and test environment clones and builds as needed. * Implement and maintain database security. * Perform database & application tuning and performance monitoring. * Setup and maintain documentation and standards. * Manage & plan ongoing improvements in capacity, performance, and security. * Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support as required. * Maintain awareness of Industry developments and best practices to evaluate technologies, tools and processes to provide a strategic database direction & competitive advantage. * Ensure compliance and adherence to Corporate and IT goals, policies, and procedures. Required Skills: o Demonstrated successes in program and project management role(s). o Strong understanding of the databases and related utilities. o Experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows environments. o Strong understanding of the underlying operating system. o Strong experience and knowledge of MS Project Server Administration and Implementation 2003. o Must have demonstrated in- depth knowledge and understanding of MS Project Server administration, troubleshooting, tools, templates, add-ons, and customizations o Ability to perform operating system performance tuning and monitoring. o A good knowledge of security management and data integrity. o Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle. o A sound knowledge of both database and system performance tuning. o Proven ability in the handling multiple projects and deadlines.
