Our client has an immediate need for a Data Architect on contract in Phoenix, AX. Please send over candidates that match the requirement below. *Data Architect Location: Phoenix (Scottsdale, AZ) Contract: October 2008- end of January 2009* Our client has an immediate need for a Data Architect. This is a contract position and is located in Scottsdale, AZ (Phoenix, AZ). *Responsibilities:* Designs and constructs data models for relational database business applications. Performs engineering of the data architecture of systems/applications and provides technical expertise to database administrators and applications developers. Analyzes information needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and designs, develops, and manages logical and physical data models which may require research and analysis. Will coordinate new data development ensuring consistency and integration with existing warehouse structures. Develop minor PL/SQL routines and perform manual system configuration. *Business Experience: *3-5 years as a Data Architect and experience in designing and developing complex Data Warehouse solutions including data models. *Required Skills* - 3-5 years as a Data Architect - 3-5 years relational database management and Data Warehouse database experience preferably with Oracle - 3-5 years strong experience in Data Warehouse data and dimensional modeling, Business Intelligence and ETL design and development. - 3-5 years of Oracle database concepts, and PL/SQL. - Excellent understanding and experience designing and creating data models. *Desired * · Experience with Oracle 10g database a plus. · 3-5 years of UNIX environment. · Familiarity with internet development and architecture. Experience leading internet development projects. · Healthcare background is a plus. · Familiarity with Rational Unified Process (RUP), UML, Object Oriented Programming (OOP), and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). · Strong understanding of UML diagrams artifacts.
