Thanks Job Title: Informatica Admin/Developer *(must have Cognos)* Location: Alameda, CA (Locals First Priority) Duration: 4+ Months Description: Minimum 5 years experience with data warehousing and database programming or equivalent Extensive experience with Oracle Database Experience with Supply & Demand for Casting and Replenishment is Ideal Software and tools: *Required : Informatica (administration and map development), Oracle (tuning and model design), scheduling tools, Unix Scripting Working knowledge of Cognos is a MUST+* *Must have Erwin – Data Modeling experience* *Technology Skills & Knowledge * - ER Data modeling and concepts - Best practices for common ETL design techniques such as change data capture, key generation and optimization - Fluency in SQL - Capable of capturing and modeling complex business cases in terms of tables and relationships - Capable of converting a relational data model to a dimensional one - Knowledge of star and snowflake schemas - Capable of designing for flexibility and performance - Extract, Transform and Load Coding (ETL) - Experience with data quality, data profiling, metadata management and reporting - Understand database concepts of referential integrity, indexes and keys and table metadata - Ability to query source and target databases for unit testing *Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.* - Design and construct large Oracle relational databases for data warehousing.
