Participates in developing functional requirements, testing, training and
implementation of Applications. Conducts business process analyses, needs
assessments and preliminary cost/benefits analysis in an effort to align
information technology with business initiatives. Formulates and defines
systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a thorough
understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Creates or
modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering technology
capacity and limitations, operation times, and form of desired results.
Oversees the preparation of functional, system and program specifications
using appropriate methodology and tools.
The candidate must be an experienced Visual Basic developer who has
developed customized MS Word macros. The candidate will also need to be able
create documentation and complete system testing. It is preferred that the
candidate also have experience with Java and JavaScript and experience with
Documentum. The scope of the assignment includes the following specific
tasks: ¿ Evaluate current custom utilities (GCC Specials macro and Document
Lookup utility) and identify bugs, design flaws, or usability issues. ¿
Correct bugs and issues with the current utilities ¿ Create Functional
Requirements and User Interface Design documents ¿ Create Design
Specification ¿ Update system testing script and complete system testing ¿
Coordinate with Wyeth teams to complete the following: - Packaging of the
software as NAL object for distribution with Wyeth shared services - Setup
of support services with the Wyeth Help desk ¿ Update to the users guides ¿
Knowledge transfer.
