*Sr. Systems engineer* that has core IIS, SQL, VB *or* Powershell scripting
experience, and that understands basic network troubleshooting.

Duration: 6 months - 1 year+

Rate: $40-45/hr (Be Competitive)

Seattle/Redmond, WA



*MUST HAVE:*

Expert knowledge of operations running and supporting Enterprise Scale
Services and infrastructure with concentration in troubleshooting/debugging,
performance tuning, live-site management.

*Expected areas of expertise include:
*- Strong System Engineering & Administrative skills with MS server products
required including; Windows 2003, SQL, IIS, .Net. Networking Skills and
scripting is a must. MOM/SCOM is a plus.

Requirements:
The position requires that the candidate is detail and results oriented with
a good balance of passion for technology, solid problem solving skills and
ability to be highly self-directed when required and works closely within a
team. Must effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in accordance
with high level objectives/projects. Strong communication, critical thinking
and problem solving skills are required.

The position requires participation in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
BA/BS degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 7 years work related
experience required.

Key Responsibilities
Technical engineering support - Support for the implementation, integration,
and evolution of complex systems. Design and maintain monitoring; Server
Management and Quick Fix Engineering tactics.
Optimize & innovate: performance tuning, optimization tactics, and
Automation.
Analyze system trending: Systems statistical trending and analysis, server
capacity and threshold testing, systems documentation maintenance.
Evaluate systems and technology: Assess new systems designs and technical
strategies
Problem Solving: Provide technical expertise for resolving critical
production systems issues. Work with other teams or members to troubleshoot
complex support issues, identify root causes and develop mitigation options
and drive towards service availability goals.
Strong interpersonal skills; written and oral communication as well as
strong technical documentation skills are required.
