SQL Database Administrator Job Description: • As our SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 installation, configuration, upgrade, migration, patching, database sizing and capacity planning on Window 2000/2003 server, in production, testing and development environments. • Diagnose & analyze performance issues and recommend solutions. • Re- index and review database system performance and carry out appropriate tuning. • Pro-actively automate routine DBA tasks utilizing SQL, PL/ SQL batch scripts. • Assist database programmers with writing efficient SQL, and train them on the use of database tools, techniques and concepts. • Experience with performing storage capacity planning. • Responsible for maintenance, including index and table space optimizations. • Develop SQL query, database triggers and stored procedures. • Develop embedded database procedures as required by application managers.
