*Title: Application Architect**
**Contract Length: 1 year**
**Location: Richmond, VA**
**Rate Range: $DOE corp to corp**

*Hiring Manager Feedback: *We are looking for a hands off Architect-
this person will spend their time, working on
architecture standards, comparing with corporate, bounce ideas
with teams, very process heavy position.
Heavily responsible for writing design
specifics and architecture specs- 40% of their time. Ideal
candidate will have Web Services experience (XML Web
Services). WebMethods is a plus, not
required. This is the point person for our integration- Merger or
Acquisition experience is great plus, but
some integration with online systems required. Here is a good job

*Education and Related Experience *
*******system integration experience is highest priority!
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in a variety of technical disciplines specific to web
application development and system integration
- 5+ years experience working on projects in a leadership role that
developed mid to large web based applications
- 4+ years experience in development utilizing a variety of application
languages
- 2+ years experience in working with database maintenance,design, and
development
*Skills and Abilities*
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Knowledge and understanding of an Object Oriented programming languages
.
- Knowledge of database programming and database design using Access,
Oracle and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of web based application structures, SOAP, and web services.
- Knowledge of server operating systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts.
- Self starter with excellent organizational and coordination skills.
- Strong technical background in application development,networking and
system administration.
- Ability to interact with all user levels inside the organization.
- Independent and self motivated.
- Detail oriented.
- Pro-actively identifies and resolves project issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
