Title: Business Objects Developer Location: Crystal City 6month Contract Minimum Experience: At least twelve (12) years. Functional Responsibility: ・ Senior IT Specialist who acts as consultant to senior management; ・ applies and develops advanced concepts and techniques; develops solutions to complex problems requiring a high degree of ingenuity and innovation; ・ works under consultative direction toward predetermined long range goals; ・ virtually self‐initiated and self‐managed; may function in project leadership roles and acts as a prime consultant and spokesperson for the organization on highly ・ significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities and long range goals and objectives. Minimum Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, engineering, business, or related field. Master’s degree may be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree and fourteen (14) years experience, an Associate’s degree and sixteen (16) years experience, or a High School degree and eighteen (18) years experience. Specific Job Description This position is in support of General Services Administration’s FAS Applications, Maintenance, and Enhancements (GSA FAME) program with GSA. We are responsible for supporting all tasks and activities associated with the development, maintenance, and enhancements (DM&E) and operations of GSA FAS’ IT Systems. All employees must be able to pass a Federal Suitability Check for a position of public trust. Position is Business Objects Architect leading the design and development of Business Objects projects. Position is responsible for providing analysis, implementation and support for multiple systems utilizing Business Objects. * Apply advanced skills in designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting Business Objects projects * Work in a team environment (and with experts from both IT and business) to create data models and data representations and deploy solutions on time and within budget * Support various reporting and Business Intelligence/Decision Support tools * Develop and design Business Objects Universe, reports, and dashboard for the purpose of proper data representation. * Responsible for Business Objects administration and integration to other applications and portals * Provide instruction and mentioning to other development personnel * Perform peer reviews Required Skills Critical Technology Requirements: * Design/development/maintenance/support of Business Objects Universe, Webi reports, and Dashboards * Experience in Business Objects XI R3 development * Experience in Business Objects administration * Experience in design/development of XCelsius dashboards * Experience in report design using JReports * Strong written and verbal communication skills.
