SAS BI Technical Analyst/Consultant

Duration- 6 Months
Rate : $45/hr

The SAS Administrator/Support Analyst will serve as a key member of the ACE
team and will be focused on supporting SAS BI Tools and analytic
capabilities in Colorado. The candidate will be responsible for working with
the Colorado business partners to jumpstart the region!|s SAS BI deployment
including providing support for for installation, maintenance and
troubleshooting of the SAS V9 environment, which includes SAS Metadata
Server, SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server, SAS Enterprise Guide
and Enterprise Miner, SAS Forecast Server, and various other SAS products
running on AIX platform.
Required Skills:

   - Must have at least 4 years experience with SAS Business Intelligence
   Suite 9x - Includes - Enterprise Guide, Information Delivery Portal,
   Information
   - Map Studio, Web Report Studio.
   - Working with SAS Management Console for SAS platform administration
   - Administering the SAS client applications
   - Detailed understanding of most SAS tools and ability to administer
   them.
   - Knowledge of SAS architecture and operational workings.
   - Planning, executing, and monitoring the SAS BI platform security and
   data archival solution for the platform
   - Creating usage profiles and models to help drive new SAS architecture.
   - Packaging, deploying, and configuring SAS environments per recommend
   architecture.
   - Strong Unix knowledge and troubleshooting skills
   - Ability to research and recommend technical designs and architectures
   to support requirements.
   - Familiarity with SAS development/programming.
   - Knowledge of tools and techniques to troubleshoot and debug SAS issues
   on UNIX platform.
   - Great listening skills
   - Strong communication skills (crisp delivery, with honest, well-thought
   out answers)
   - Must be extremely competent in identifying requirements and translating
   business requirements into technical solutions.
   - Hands on SAS Programmer with at least 5 years SAS programming for data
   management, SAS Macro and PROC statements.
   - Complex Data Step manipulations of large data sets from diverse data
   sources.
   - Expertise in creating reports from SAS data sets.
   - Experience with multiple environments, XML data interchange, SAS
   security configuration. Experience with SQL query language and result sets.
   - Basic UNIX navigation and directory management skills Desired
   additional skills:
   - Exposure to Data Integrations Studio, SAS Information Delivery Portal
   and SAS/ODS

Key Responsibilities:

   - Consolidating disparate reporting capabilities onto a single platform
   - Supporting the Colorado business community in leveraging the new SAS BI
   platform - includes migrating PC SAS/Connect to MVS code SAS9 AIX Platform
   - Documenting the technical works, and presenting the key findings and
   learning to stakeholders.
   - Actively participating in and contributing to the implementation of
   best industry practices for SAS BI Development
   - Document and understand the outstanding and ongoing user submitted
   issues and create action plans and implement them.
