I always look back with fondness at my old SA/Programmer/Operator job at an environmental cleaning/testing facility. Like when there was an explosion in the lab. I'm pretty sure that Chemist's arm is back to normal again after 11 years. Like when I found out the site was a "Level 3" (or something) radioactive storage site. And Agent Orange, etc. Like when they told me I had to stay in the computer room because they thought that the rebar in the concrete walls would protect me from the stray x-rays while they were testing a pressure tank for stress fractures down the hall. Like when I came into work with a puke pail to get the system up and running and was threatened that I would be fired if I went back home when it was up. And all for $16K/year. God, I miss that job. Hey man, I just work here. :) Rich Jesse System/Database Administrator [EMAIL PROTECTED] Quad/Tech International, Sussex, WI USA > -----Original Message----- > From: lerobe - Lee Robertson [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, March 22, 2001 01:51 > To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L > Subject: RE: DBA Job at a Chocolate Factory > > > Yep me to, Government, local Software House, multi-national > manufacturing > company, and currently working for a large American company > (UK office) in > the Outsourcing Division ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This message has been scanned for viruses with Trend Micro's Interscan VirusWall. -- Please see the official ORACLE-L FAQ: http://www.orafaq.com -- Author: Jesse, Rich INET: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fat City Network Services -- (858) 538-5051 FAX: (858) 538-5051 San Diego, California -- Public Internet access / Mailing Lists -------------------------------------------------------------------- To REMOVE yourself from this mailing list, send an E-Mail message to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (note EXACT spelling of 'ListGuru') and in the message BODY, include a line containing: UNSUB ORACLE-L (or the name of mailing list you want to be removed from).
