I always look back with fondness at my old SA/Programmer/Operator job at an
environmental cleaning/testing facility.

Like when there was an explosion in the lab.  I'm pretty sure that Chemist's
arm is back to normal again after 11 years.

Like when I found out the site was a "Level 3" (or something) radioactive
storage site.  And Agent Orange, etc.

Like when they told me I had to stay in the computer room because they
thought that the rebar in the concrete walls would protect me from the stray
x-rays while they were testing a pressure tank for stress fractures down the
hall.

Like when I came into work with a puke pail to get the system up and running
and was threatened that I would be fired if I went back home when it was up.

And all for $16K/year.  God, I miss that job.
