Actually, the "-a" in the "ll" command is only active for the root user,
AFAIK. Others need to explicity specify the "a" option to get all the dot
files.
Why? Damned if I know. Coming from OpenVMS, these Unixy things are a pain
in the buttocks. Faster then hell, but a pain to admin.
