We are using NetApps for last four years that are NFS mounted for all our
storage needs including Oracle. We have all our oracle files on NetApps
(data files, redo logs, archived logs, ...). We are keeping mirrors or redo
logs, control file, archived logs on a local disk. We have never
experienced any problem with the NetApp performance. The database is 24x7
and last year we were up 99.99%. We are regularly generating snapshots so
we can recover accidentally deleted files (I am not talking of oracle files
here :-) ). We are planning to start using snapshots as a part of our
backup procedures to keep tablespaces in the backup mode least possible
time.

The databases we are currently running on NetApp are OLTP (or say a mixture
of OLTP and DS). We are planning to start a DW database that is going to be
run of NetApp as well.
