Subject: RE: VeritasJack (or anyone), we have a predicament with the Sun version of Netbackup and Quick I/O when used with RMAN. RMAN cannot create a backup of the special link along with the actual data file. On a restore, only the data file is copied back to disk, in effect turning the Quick I/O file back into a regular Unix-buffered file. We have researched possible work-arounds. So far we will have to create the Quick I/O file before initiating the RMAN restore/recover commands, or restore the files without the links and turn them into Quick I/O files at a later time. Any other experiences out there?
