Actually I have done this with my kids and I had then go on a tour with someone that knows that manufacturing facility, and then had them spend time in order entry, and the some time in the distribution center. They also had some time in the IS department but by showing them the whole facility they can see that what you do effects everything. They can only sit and watch you type for so long. Oh yea, I also let them spend some time with the PC techs and they got to "fix" some PC's.
