Paula,     TRIMSPOOL will only remove the trailing characters in an output file. Normally, the output is padded with blanks up to the length defined by LINESIZE. I don't think TRIMSPOOL will help, but I could be wrong.       How long is the command you are trying to output? What is the setting for WRAP?   Daniel W.
