Connor, So create directory can be used instead of the utl_file_dir initialization parameter and can still be used with the utl_file package? That's my only worry, as the docs lead me to believe that I need to replace the use of utl_file with BFILEs
Once I have "created a directory", it remains available across database shutdown and startup?
