It used to be that all error messages between 10000 and 10999 were events ... but I see some more in 21xxx, 23xxx range too in 9i.

you can find the list of events under $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/mesg/oraus.msg.

and by the way how can i fire a Stored procedure if a event (ex.: Shutdown or Startup) is ocurring?
