no rollback ??

There is one log running process in db here and I waiting for it to finish since last 3 hours. when I see sql_address in v$session for this session and then find sql in v$sqlarea its a update statement . But then there is no entry in v$transaction . How'z it possible that there no rollback entry for one update statement ??   -ak
