You also might want to check v$fast_start_transactions and v$fast_start_servers. I had a problem on linux, where SMON (9.2.0.3) decided to roll back a large transaction in parallel, but on linux (rhas21) the parallel execution didn't work too well and the whole process stopped until I disabled parallel rollback (fast_start_parallel_rollback parameter IIRC).   Tanel.   ----- Original Message ----- From: AK To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L Sent: Tuesday, August 26, 2003 1:49 AM Subject: no rollback ??
