Thanx Mladen. I checked my listener.ora , tnsnames.ora and init.ora . there seems to be no special entries for MTS and hence came to a conclusion that the server runs in dedicated mode.
i read ( somewhere , i don't remember now ) that : end users ( say , 50 sessions ) doesn't feel any improved performance just because the server is changed from dedicatd to MTS mode. but my question is : will it bring down the performance rather ? the set up is oracle 9.2.0.3 / win2k. Thanx once again.
