*Position : Lead Data Warehouse/ETL Specialist * *Location : Raleigh/Durham, NC* *Duration : 6+ Months * *Interview : Phone/ Skype (F2F if Locals)* *Job Description * · Our ideal candidate needs to have some Team Lead and/or Architecture type experience in a Data Warehouse environment. · Development experience is good and necessary to have credibility, but we don’t want to hire a developer here. · This is a higher level position than that. Our goal for this role is to have someone be the key technical subject matter expert on our current DWH. · Be the key point of contact in consulting type discussions with stakeholders to interpret demand and work with our team to develop plans on how to address future needs. · They would be leading design discussions on changes & improvements with the technical team. · Running POC’s and managing technical escalations by pulling the right resources together. *Job Responsibilities:* · Serve as the technical subject matter expert in the R&D DWH and associated applications · Ensure that new solutions meet defined technical, functional, and service-level requirements and standards · Contribute to the R&D DWH technical roadmap ] · Support the Product/Platform Manager(s) in design based discussions · Potentially lead and/or contribute to the efforts of the offshore development team in order to design, agree, and validate solutions · Keeping stakeholders informed of issues, updates, plans, etc. · Serve as escalation point for issues and outages *Required Skills: * · 3-5 years of hands on Data Warehouse design and/or development experience (preferred: Oracle) · Experience in SQL, PLSQL, and knowledge of visualization and analytics toolsets · Detailed understanding of ETL (preferred: IBM DataStage 8.x) and data replication methods (preferred: Oracle Golden Gate) · Ability to effectively interpret technical and scientific business objectives into actionable solutions · Excellent written and Oral communication at multiple levels of the organization · Ability to learn and adapt quickly based on customer needs · Ability to lead discussions and work as a team player · Displays effective analytical and problem solving skills *Desired Skills: * · Experience in an scientific or R&D based organization · Knowledge or awareness of biology and genetic topics · Strong Stakeholder Management skills · Experience in Agile methodologies · Ability to manage multiple objectives in parallel · Project and/or support release coordination *Regards* *Vikas Gupta* *Technical Recruiter* *VSG Business Solutions* *221,Cornwell Dr, Bear, DE 19701* *Email :[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Contact No : 302-261-3207 X 109* *Hangout :vikas9181.vsg* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle-Projects" group.
