*Quality Analyst*** Location: Canton ,OH Duration: 4 Months ****** US Citizen’s Only ***** * *Complete Description:* The consultant will be responsible for performing software validation testing on new and existing software/firmware development products and report test results. Review product requirements for testability and provide technical feedback. Research, organize, document & execute validation test cases that are traceable to and fulfil the product requirements. Utilize, maintain & configure available test tools & equipment to meet the test requirements. Create & modify basic test tool scripts, test files & data to perform tests. Maintain & record test data and provide detailed project status information. Utilize product knowledge & training, PC skills, test case writing skills & tools, basic programming and quality training to accomplish tasks. Maintain a competent level of product knowledge and technical skills. Analyze, recommend and help to support and document effective SQA and development lifecycle processes, tools and test methodology. Some essential functions of this position include: - Perform job functions following the SQA Quality System Processes and Procedures. Maintaining a competent level of product knowledge, knowledge of related development & SQA best practices, tools and new technologies - Interface with the SQA Project Lead and various members of the development team. Participate in technical product, document & defect reviews and status meetings. Provide input on product deficiencies & basic suggestions on possible development/ SQA process improvements - Review product requirements for testability. Utilize document reviews, related technical material, product training & experience to provide constructive technical feedback & verify test coverage, - Work with the SQA Project lead to develop product test plans. Assist in identifying, documenting & prioritizing the test items based on & traceable to the test requirements, - Efficiently create & maintain accurate & reusable test case documentation following defined SQA guidelines. Utilize document reviews. Ensure that project test cases, test tools and scripts are well documented & enhanced in a timely manner during testing. Ensure that tests are repeatable and can be efficiently reused and executed by other SQA associates as required, - Ability to create and modify test tool scripts, and data files to meet test requirements. Fundamental ability to analyze & debug test data and scripts, - Independently setup, install, configure & maintain the product test environment, equipment & test tools with little assistance, - Execute tests, analyze, record & maintain test data, provide detailed status with little assistance. Identify product test deficiencies, work scope changes that may affect the test effort and schedule - communicate issues to SQA Project Lead and development as applicable, - Maintain and present accurate project status information on a regular basis to the SQA, Manager, Project Lead and development lead as applicable, - Minimum of Associates degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience - Basic programming knowledge, training & experience. - Experience with JavaScript and XML - Experience with Rational ClearQuest preferred - At least two years of Quality Assurance testing experience or training required. - Experience in reviewing requirements for testability, designing & writing test cases & test tool scripts to the product requirement. - Ability to work well with others, motivated, a team player, good communication & problem solving skills. - Prefer previous technical or testing experience with MS products, Windows XP, Internet/Intranet, TCP/IP, client server systems, HTML, JAVA, C or C++ programming, databases, Object Oriented Technologies or Open System Architecture.
