Hi Friend,
Hope you are doing great.

Please go through the below requirement and let me know if you have any
consultant for the below position?

Title : QA/Tester – Manual
Location : Downtown, NYC
Duration : 3 months to start- will go much longer
Bill Rate: 50/hourly

Worked on Complex data and/or Data warehousing projects
Knows SQL – will pull out data
Will test to see that data is properly going from it's "source" to it's
"target" (populated database)
Any Informatica (ETL) and/or Cognos (Reporting) knowledge is needed
Need to know how to test data – how to make test cases to cover the flow of
data
Any financial terms are helpful (eg, spread, duration …)

One project to focus on:
Data warehouse programs - Risk Metrics was brought in and needs internal
testing - Risk Metrics is a Product (MSCI owns it) - they have a front end
that is coded –the Risk metrics (RM) project is integrated all the data
sources
There is a web based front end – the risk metrics vendor will extract data
and send out to MSCI - where the RM will provide calculations and data
Will be fed to the front end — the project is CRITICAL for the team - wiill
take on projects to support the whole staff of the QA team — need to focus
on this RM projects – this is one of many projects
IDW –data warehousing projects about Investment Data
The DW acquires data from variety of source and integrate & process —
Deliver through a reporting platform.
Knowing how to test the reports — test data from a source to a target
Know SQL and compare to demential table
All Manual , complex testing
Need general data warehouse experience – testing systems with large volumes
of data
Sources – provide data (variety of ways – files or ETL, Informatica (for
extraction and Loading)
Informatica is big plus
Using Cognos for Reporting
Data needs to be staged- then populate the DW tables.
Trace the data from the source and then when and where populated to it's
"target"
Make sure the data was sent /transformed properly
Need to go back to original requirements to see that the data is moved
properly

Thanks,
Amer Khan
