Yes Experience: - 10+ years installing, configuring and managing medium to large 64-Bit SQLServer databases in a clustered environment, including backup and recovery, replication, log-shipping and database mirroring - 10+ years maintaining and exercising real-time disaster recovery fail-over and fail-back events for high transaction systems - 10+ years of experience implementing SAN based solutions, including snapshots and clones - 10+ years tuning all aspects SQLServer, including SQL query evaluation and tuning - 10+ years in collaborative database design, including data warehouse design, SQL query development and ability to create stored procedures - 2+ years of experience with the Agile/Scrum development process - 2+ years experience managing a global DBA team, including performance management, recruiting, and budgeting - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to develop and write procedures and policies - Able to alternate 24 X 7 production database support with the ability to work in global environments and collaborate effectively with counterparts in remote offices Working Conditions: - Experience with other RDBM systems such as DB2 and MySQL a plus - Experience with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting a plus Job Description: - Seeking a dedicated database professional to join and help lead our global DBA team. - The ideal candidate will have 10+ years experience operating in both a system and development DBA capacity using MS SQLServer, with at least 2 years in a Manager capacity The candidate should have the experience and expertise to design and implement 24x7 enterprise wide solutions for optimal application performance, load balancing, high-availability and disaster recovery, as well as, the ability to lead a team of DBA’s, - manage workflow and collaborate with product development teams to ensure DBA commitments meet fluctuating priorities Primary Responsibilities: - Administer and support 24x7 highly-available SAN based production enterprise environments across multiple data centers - Install, configure, validate and monitor complex cluster services, log shipping, database mirroring, replication, load balancing, backup and recovery procedures - Design, implement and support a disaster recovery solution that leverages the ability to failover and failback real-time very large databases within the acceptable SLA - Proactively monitor server, database and ETL process health to ensure availability and performance - Perform pro-active capacity planning, recommend and implement solutions to provide scalability - Build and enforce database change management, security standards and best practices across various database environments and ensure processes are adhered to and documented - Support production and non-production deployments of database schema changes, code deployments, and stored procedures - Create automated data driven scripted solutions to perform various administration and monitoring tasks - Provide support for Agile/Scrum based product development teams, collect database requirements and provide solutions and recommendations for new schema, infrastructure or architecture - Maintain SDLC physical environments and support schema changes through dev, qa, uat and staging environments. - Participate in on-call rotation Education: - Bachelors degree - Microsoft SQLServer Certification PLEASE READ: Important Updates to Job Requisition: Other Comments to Vendors: Interviews will first be conducted via phone screen.
