This is for a Software Developer/Engineer, her are the 3 main points the
manager is looking for;
*Required Skills:*
· Work experience utilizing MS Windows and C++
· Object Oriented Design experience
· XML knowledge
*Position Purpose:*
This position is in the area of Software Product Development for
thePatient Care Solutions (Diagnostic Cardiology) business.
The successful candidate will develop a C++ software library that processes
XML data for diagnostic cardiology products. The work involves software
design, coding and unit testing in a Visual C++ environment.
*Essential Functions (Responsibilities): *
The software development engineer will be responsible for:
· Design of XML processing software using Object Oriented
methodology, particularly Unified Modeling Language (UML)
· Implementation of the software design in C++
· Development of network communication simulation verification tools
· Development and execution of software unit tests
· Active participation in feature integration and integration
testing
· Work with cross-functional teams and experienced engineers to
research, design, develop, build and test connectivity software in new
medical products
*Qualifications/Requirements: (Basic Qualifications):*
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Three or more years of software work experience
· Work experience and/or coursework utilizing MS Windows and C++
· Object Oriented Design experience
· XML knowledge
· Exceptional organizational, problem solving and detail
orientation skills
· Strong interpersonal skills are needed along with the ability to
work well in a team environment
*Desired: (Desired Characteristics)*
- Familiarity with Modern Design Patterns and Agile development
techniques
- Experience in Windows CE development
- Experience and/or course work utilizing Unified Modeling Language (UML)
- Experience with software and requirements management and process tools
- Excellent verbal and written documentation skills
Experience working on products in a regulated environment.
