1. Support on weekends / holidays as well by taking weekly off on
alternate days

Pro-active Ops Control center for IBM Connections Cloud
*Responsibilites - In detail*
• Monitors environment health and addresses issues found, proactively
– Monitors Nimsoft environment alerts from SoftLayer
• Owns all problem resolution in production
– Involves development or other SMEs only as needed
• Builds issue remediation automation and/or runbooks for addressing
system issues, with assistance from Development SMEs and Application
Specialists as needed
• Monitors and addresses capacity shortages
• Not responsible for code deployments
• Responsible only for production and stage environments
• Assists Application Specialists in solution maintenance – can
offload tasks

1. Chef, Jenkins
2. Java / Python / Ruby
3. Good Networking concepts
4. Load balancers, proxies
5. Analysis of application logs
6. Web app experience / concepts
