*JOB TITLE: **TECHNICAL LEAD/MANAGER – Retail POS/Store Systems*
*REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:*
· Retail background/knowledge Retail POS/Store Systems Experience a
MUST
· 3 – 5 years management experience
· Advanced knowledge of software verification and validation
techniques.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills.
· Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
· Ability to research, analyze, evaluate and interpret technical
information.
· Ability to identify and resolve escalated software problems,
issues and discrepancies.
· Ability to establish estimates and meet critical deadlines.
· Aptitude for detail and accuracy.
*DESIRED** SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES *
· BA/BS degree in computer science, mathematics, software
engineering or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
· POS implementation experience
· Retail background/knowledge
· In depth knowledge of POS software
*GENERAL SUMMARY:*
The Retail POS/Store Systems Technical Lead/Manager will manage development
projects in the Store Systems area. The current projects in scope are Fall
POS release, Rewards Refresh, Tender Auth. There will also be management of
PCI deliverables for the Stores area. Manager may be involved in the
day-to-day support of Stores. They will manage work of several projects in
process, compliance etc. They will also have responsibility for working
with a third party vendor on the projects outlined above.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*
· Manages third party software vendor.
· Interfaces with Store Development management and Program Delivery
· Interfaces with brand
· Follows up on escalated software problems, issues, and
discrepancies.
· Provides direction on newly created or redesigned product
enhancements.
· Documents team performance on assigned projects
· Participates in development of strategic plans, goals and
objectives for IT POS/Store Systems.
· Develops goals and objectives for group.
· Troubleshoots and resolves or recommends alternative solutions to
highly complex software problems and issues.
· Works under consultative direction toward predetermined long-range
plans. Determines and pursues courses of action essential in obtaining
desired results.
