*Position Description:*



Senior Mobile App Developer is focused on writing mobile applications,
along with scripts and other processes that produce content within such
mobile app products. Work as project team member to develop & enhance
Turners Mobile Products, as well as syndication feeds - tasks include
coding, testing, debugging, documenting, peer-reviewing, deploying,
monitoring, and support. Consistently meet or exceed deadlines on
programming projects.



Additionally, Senior Mobile App Developer should participate in workflow,
architecture, design and analyze existing production and implementation
processes in order to ensure the overall quality of the apps. Attend
regular client review meetings to provide updates on mobile projects, give
guidance on processes and monitor concerns for reconciliation. Collaborates
with other internal teams on associated deliverables required for the
successful completion of development and maintenance assignments (e.g.
business development, database development, graphic designers, end-user
training).



Maintains and supports existing products and content production processes.
Spend time learning new skills and enhancing existing ones. Contributes to
task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for
development and maintenance activities. Integrate apps with Turner standard
mobile platforms for analytics, ad-serving, video etc as applicable. Mentor
Developers on technical issues and best practices. Regularly provide new
technical ideas and process/workflow improvements to Lead/Chief Developers
and Management Team. Research new technologies; provide ideas for technical
or workflow / process improvements. Occasional over-time and off-hours work
should be expected..



*Qualifications:*



·         At least 5 years of previous experience developing mobile
applications on the Android platform, and some experience with the iOS
platform, is required.



·         Primary focus will be on Android.



·         Must have expertise in building advanced native GUIs, with
optional web-driven components, in collaboration with usability engineers,
information architects, and product managers.



·         Experience working on and supporting a large-scale consumer
facing mobile or digital product is a plus.



·         BS in Computer Science, or equivalent compensating experience
desired.



·         Candidates who provide samples of work, showing user-centered
design thinking, will be preferred.







*Required Skills:*



·         Java, Android ADK, Eclipse or alternate IDE



·         XCode, Objective C, SQLite ¿ XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, SQLite ¿



·         Experience with invoking & consuming web services (REST/JSON,
SOAP/XML etc)



·         Exp. & in-depth experience with hybrid-app frameworks - PhoneGap,
Appcelerator/Titanium, etc.



·         Strong foundation in enterprise level HTTP, Internet Protocol and
related standards. ¿ Create and edit Microsoft Office suite files -
technical and functional/process documentation, presentations



·         Basic knowledge of UML experience with diagrams in Visio or other
UML tools



·         Deep experience with at least one Agile development
process/methodology.



·         Experience managing difficult/changing timelines, varying scopes
and complexities/dependencies on projects.



·         Strong communicator, with experience in cross-functional
matrix-ed environments (multiple internal organizations/teams and external
vendors).
