Duration : 6-24 Months contract Location : Omaha ,NE BI Developer – Migration project moving data from DB2 to SQL Server and Business Objects * Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in development configuration for business intelligence - Usage of Microsoft development tools (Visual Studio and SQL Tools) - Insures production issues are resolved and coordinates activities to insure appropriate actions are taken to ensure a maintainable and available environment - Performs various maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance, security and recoverability with minimal downtime Development - Creation of ETL (SSIS) - Create of T-SQL - Creation of SQL Reporting Services Reports is desired. - Creation of database models is desired (e.g., Erwin Workgroup Edition) - Gather, analyze, and document requirements Deployment - Assists coordination efforts to deploy Business Intelligence solutions - Insures proper deployment of objects in the production and test environments - Insures production reports are scheduled optimally End-user Support - Provide technical support related to business intelligence tools - Provide front-line support for report execution, delivery and creation - Insures appropriate access to reporting data; validating approvals and submitting security requests, as needed - Coordinates between the end-users, BI Team, and DBAs regarding Data Warehouse load issues; performs problem research, solution validation and end-user communication - Assists end-users with report formatting and problems with underlying queries - Provides BI Tool training for end-users; assist users with application and report optimization Administration - Consults with application, database and data modeling resources during the pre-implementation, implementation and post-implementation phases Job Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS, or equivalent work experience. Sharepoint experience is must. * Visual Studio development experience is required * Knowledge of Structured Query Language is required * Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements is required * Experience with other query tools * Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Analysis Services (SSAS) * Experience with database modeling tools (e.g., Erwin Workgroup Edition) * Understanding of dimensional modeling * Experience with SAS * Strong written and oral communication skills * Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle * Ability to organize time and projects independently * Regular and predictable attendance is a required essential function of the job * Knowledge of Financial Institution business practices and processes Thanks & Regards, Shashi SARKIT INC.
