*Project Location* *San Antonio, TX* *Duration* *6+ Months Contract* *Interview Mode: Phone + Skype* *Visa: Any* *Job Description:* Description: Group O is searching to add a *SQL* *Business Intelligence Developer* with *strong SSIS and SSAS experience to its growing team!* This position is responsible for the design, creation, and oversight of daily running processes to obtain and aggregate data for reporting and data integrity. The role of BI Developer is work with the *Front End Web Developer* to create a dashboard for users to manipulate large volumes of data and be able to see daily results, slice/dice data as needed. The solution will be used to generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports. So I need one person on the back end to get the data in the right shape is to create packages and/or processes to extract, transform, and load the data warehouse or data marts for reporting purposes. *Responsibilities * Ø Maintains SQL and other data extraction and staging skills required to move data out of the data warehouse and deliver to data marts. Ø Works collaboratively with client and team members. Ø Ability to take the lead on discussions with end-users and analysts as needed and the ability to work closely with technical and non-technical personnel Ø Gather business requirements to create business and detailed technical documentation Ø In-depth knowledge of Microsoft SQL server and Shared Services: SSIS Manage multiple tasks in an environment where priorities can change frequently *Experiences Needed* Ø Knowledge of relational and dimensional databases Ø Understanding of data warehouses, data marts and database technologies, standards, and methodologies. Ø Solid experience and knowledge in designing and delivering business intelligence and/or Analytics solutions. v Must possess good analysis and design skills, critical thinking, and analytical problem solving abilities. v Strong development skills (sourcing and ETL). v Must have strong knowledge of testing (unit, system, performance, regression, and stress). Ø Strong data analysis skills. Ø Working experience with SSIS package creation, maintenance and improvements Ø Working experience and understanding of Extract, Transaction, and Load processes within a Business Intelligence environment. Ø Advanced SQL Script writing with the ability to create and edit existing SQL codes/scripts Ø Strong communication skills with non-technical users and technical user Ø Gather business requirements and create business and detailed technical documentation Ø Have the ability to design, create, and oversee of daily jobs and have the ability to fix daily and database processes/jobs that crash, performance tuning of team or personal queries *Preferred* Ø Ability to create and model SSAS cubes in a multidimensional Star/Snowflake schemas Ø Exposure to other tools and technologies, Teradata or Hadoop is beneficial but not required Ø Experience writing ASP.NET, .NET, or C# for web edits and customization is beneficial but not required.
