Share Point Archtiect Location: Boston, MA Rate: Open Duration: 1 Year *JOB OVERVIEW* * * The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge of architecture and development for SharePoint solutions. The candidate should be experienced in mapping common customer business problems to end-to-end technology solutions. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and .NET is also a must. Architects work with many external and internal groups including Product Management, Development, Operations, customers, and executive team members. Architects focus on all aspects of the product development process including scoping, requirements, design, implementation, and rollout and may require customer interaction for deployments. *RESPONSIBILITY* · Develop project technology strategy by understanding key client objectives; diagnosing and mapping client requirements; articulating solution risks and barriers; recommending project approaches; planning full project life cycle · Lead and facilitate design sessions to validate business cases, gather and document business, functional, and performance objectives · Implement architecture by building components and custom designs; prototyping; data migration; mentoring development staff · Validate system performance by working with Performance Engineering on appropriate designs and validations · Prepares client to use IT infrastructure by developing and conducting training programs · Serve as a Subject Matter expert for customer engagements when needed by communicating SharePoint architecture standards and frameworks; answering questions; resolving concerns and issues · Improve all areas of .NET product architecture suite by continued innovation and introducing new MSFT best practices and industry trends as the product suite evolves · Improve information usefulness by tracking emerging technologies; evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements *REQUIREMENTS* · Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience · At least 10 years relevant working experience including expertise in enterprise architecture; Consulting skills such as interviewing stakeholders, and conducting architecture reviews · Experience leading large group meetings/information gathering sessions with senior-level executives and excellent written and oral communication skills · Professional experience with n-tier application architectures development Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with ability to function at both the detail and conceptual levels · Knowledge of Data Modeling, Data Integration · Experience with service-oriented architectures and XML , RESTfule web services · Solid understanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) product and Windows SharePoint Services technology platform. Good understanding of Microsoft Information Worker infrastructure and architecture.
