Title : Senior Business Analyst w/Health care and HIPPA exp Location : Columbus, OH. Duration : 6+ months contract. The primary role of the Business Analyst is to translate business requirements into technical specifications, maintain relationships with the business, and drive standard business processes across the IT Enterprise. SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Should have an understanding of business priorities and the relative importance of their projects. This analyst is able to identify multiple approaches to problem solving and recommend the best case solution. Must conduct thorough business process analysis to understand existing workflows and systems, document current processes and systems, create requirements for new processes, develop use cases, and manage requirement changes. Must possess strong technical acumen with the ability to translate information and research into non-technical language as necessary to effectively communicate across teams. Act as a Agile Business Analyst supporting several Specialty Pharmacy initiatives. Be an Agile advocate helping traditional waterfall organization understand the Agile process. Participate in daily scrum, sprint planning, & sprint retrospectives. Document new features, requirements, and strategies as concise and accurate user stories and acceptance criteria. Ensure user documentation and SOP are updated with each release. Enable collaboration between the product owner and/or customer with the developers and testers on the project team. Maintain documentation and artifacts required to satisfy HIPAA, FDA, and SOX requirements. Work with business owners to prioritize feature development, based on business value. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science, Business or related discipline preferred Demonstrates strong analytical and project management skills, including thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs, model business functions, and translate them into application and operational requirements At least one year of experience in a true Agile/ Scrum / XP environment. Extensive experience driving user stories with an emphasis on data quality and consistency Command of business process modeling. Ability to balance constantly changing priorities. Experience in Healthcare industry with knowledge of HIPPA and FDA strongly desired. Strong oral and written communication skills, Leads communication across different IT and business teams, taking a lead role in coordinating efforts, utilizing proven knowledge of IT and roles and responsibilities within the organization. Speak English fluently and clearly Experience working with business users and technical teams with differing goals and fostering positive, respectful relationships. Experience composing wireframes using a tool such as Balsamic Experience using Agile Acceptance Test Frameworks a plus. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the industry and trends Works independently, often determining own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst eliciting user stories for web based applications.
