Title: VMWare Implementation Engineers
Location: Franklin, MA
Looking for 50 rate – 1 yr to start – 5 openings *

Job Description:
The VMware Implementation Engineer is responsible for effective planning,
provisioning, installation and configuration of VCE Vblock hardware and
software solutions.
This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software
systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling
staff, Partners, and Customers.
This individual will assist project teams with in the Initiation, Planning,
and Implementation & Close out phases of deployment.
These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical
strategy; research & development within the project life-cycle; technical
analysis and design; and support of professional service implementation
staff in executing, testing, and rolling-out solutions.
Participation on projects is focused on the transition of projects from
pre-sales into post sales on-site implementation with high customer &
partner satisfaction results.
Implementation, Provisioning & Partner mentorship
Work on 2-3 man teams to perform requirements gathering with
clients/partners, translate those requirements into logical configuration
documentation and perform implementations remotely or at customer sites.
Act in a consultative role with pre-sales architects, partners and customers
to achieve an optimal, best practice solution.
Install new or rebuild existing Vblock hardware, services, settings,
directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project
requirements using VMware vSphere & vCenter related products
Contribute to and maintain "Best Practice" process and procedures related to
Vblock logical configuration.
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches
for implementation tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources
and provide economies of scale.
Provide "As-Built" documentation to clients
Mentor VCE Partners and junior staff member in VCE & VMware best practices
Delivery Knowledge Transfer sessions with clients and partners
Always strive for "Continuous Improvement" in all facets of the Professional
Service Implementation Practice.

Education/ Experience Required or Desired:

Skills:
Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or
computer science.
Eight years of Enterprise level Windows or Unix Systems
Administration/System Engineering experience
Five to Eight years of VMware/ESX experience, P2V & V2V migrations
VMware certifications - VCP4 required, VCAP or VCDX desired
Desired experience with DNS, DHCP, WINS, Cluster, IIS, VMWare/ESX
Extensive hardware troubleshooting experience with servers/blade
technology's.
Solid written and verbal communication skills. Good documentation skills and
knowledge of basic ITIL processes required
