Job Title: Technical Network IT Project ManagerDuration:  1-3 yearsInterview:

*Responsibilities:*

·         Require PM to actively manage, engage, own every stage of network
projects and drive all project related tasks tocompletion

·         Partnering with Network team and work with cross-functional
business units to understand project scope, requirement,timeline, and
dependencies for each project flowing through the organization

·         Demonstrates advanced knowledge and technical competence in
Network and Data Center technologies includingBusiness Continuity/Disaster
Recovery

·         Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of
significance with broad scope and high complexity

·         Responsible for leading one or more projects typically between
$100,000 - $5,000,000

·         Clearly defining and communicating roles, responsibilities and
expectations for all members of the project team

·         Obtaining and defining staffing requirements and forming project
teams

·         Independently planning all associated work to meet project goals

·         Recording, tracking and communicating issues, risks, changes, and
status reports within a PG&E standard tool

·         Accurately and consistently forecasting project resource,
material and contract costs within a standard PG&E tool(s)

·         Monitoring critical project milestones, and identifying ways to
resolve schedule issues

·         Assessing project performance and implementing changes as
necessary to ensure the projects remains withinspecified cost, schedule,
scope and quality objectives

·         Communicating status of all projects to stakeholders and
management

·         Developing and maintaining a productive working relationship
with project
sponsors, vendors and key clients

·         Preparing all project documentation for closure, storage, and
possible auditing activities, ensuring technical accuracy

·         Coordinating any required contract work within defined PG&E policy

·         Demonstrates a high level of expertise in a number of the
following areas: testing, project management, related Lines ofBusiness,
development, SOX compliance, regulatory compliance, operational/disaster
recovery, operations, maintenance,etc.

·         Able to work on flexible schedule for clearances and maintenances
that require off-hour support

·         Conducting site visits as necessary


Minimum Requirements:

·         Solid understanding of Telecomm, Networking (WAN/LAN), TCP/IP, and
 Data Center technologies

·         Advanced understanding of project management principles and
methodologies

·         Understanding of business, and IT strategies and objectives

·         Workforce planning and resource management skills

·         Ability to function and manage in a matrixed environment

·         Excellent communication (oral and written) and collaboration
skills

·         Team player, flexible, energetic, diplomatic, strong leadership,
analytical ability and judgment skills

·         Proficiency in negotiation and risk management

·         Skilled in using the following programs – HP Project and Portfolio
Management Center (PPMC) , IT Methodology,Microsoft Office Suite

·         BA/BS in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or equivalent
experience
