The person in this role will work directly with the Enterprise Data
Management core team and any necessary business owners to develop Business
Requirement Documentation (BRD).
*Job Responsibilities:*
- Collaborate with business units, internal IT staff, and external
vendors who support business applications by doing the following:
- Perform data mapping for each data source.
- Profile and analyze data by querying it from multiple sources.
- Provide clear business requirement specifications of the desired
end-state in several areas including entity, operational,
product, and firm
wide data sources
- Develop and execute UAT test cases to ensure proper data flow.
- Create user-friendly documentation for ongoing use of systems.
- The individual must be well-organized, be able to work independently,
and have strong ability to effectively multi-task and problem-solve.
- Facilitate project discussions with several business units including:
Marketing, Sales, Client Service, Operations, Compliance, Trading,
Technology,
Performance, Data Quality, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Investment Teams.
- Participate in projects using known project methodologies such as
waterfall and Agile.
*Job Requirements & Experience:*
- Three to five years’ experience in financial services
- Strong experience in technology solution analysis, design,
development, testing, debugging and implementation, interacting with
department
managers, subject matter experts, and end-users.
- Experience with SQL strongly preferred
- Financial product knowledge including Fixed Income, Equities, Options,
and Derivatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, system dependencies, and
data flows.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of all phases of system development life cycle, including
modeling and development of specifications through implementation
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
- Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented.
*Education:*
- BS/BA degree in Information Management Systems, Marketing or Finance
or equivalent experience.
