*Location::: IL-Illinois/Chicago Duration::: 4+ months MOI::: Phone then face to face * *Job Description::* -The opening is for a strong Oracle Data Warehouse Developer with EXPERTISE in Oracle PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting. - In this role you will work within the exchange data management group developing data warehouse batch applications to load/aggregate business data from internal systems and external vendors. - Additionally, you will develop new batch applications as well as maintain and support existing production applications. - The ideal candidate will have Oracle Data Warehouse experience as well as experience building custom Oracle applications with expertise in PL/SQL Package development & Tuning as well as Unix Shell Scripting, XML, Pro*C, BMC Control-M skills. - Please note that most of their core systems run on Oracle 11g RAC and are coded mostly in PL/SQL packages, Pro*C, C & Java. - Knowledge of trading and/or financial exchange systems is a plus! *Responsibilities will include::*- Design data warehouse / data mart structure for different applications, including data extraction procedures to load data marts - Follow Data Warehouse group standard design life cycle: creating detailed design plan, process flow, test plan, implementation plan and run documentation - Produce specifications for data load jobs, while working with users and developers to understand their data needs and relationships to existing corporate data - Assist Data Architecture group to capture data definitions of major data sources and data elements - Responsible for PL/SQL code performance analysis and tuning. - Provide detailed documentation: process flow/interface between feeder systems and the data warehouse - Coordinate testing with other development groups, users, and operation groups - Provide support for development and production systems *Required Skills and Experience::*- 8+ years experience in Oracle 11g RAC, PL/SQL programming - Strong PL/SQL programming: PL/SQL, functions, procedures and packages(Exp with TOAD is a plus); Must have experience with multi table joins, sub queries, in-line views, cursors, aggregate and analytic functions, merge, user defined data types, and collection types and an ability [Bulk Collects], collection types and an understanding of how to create efficient queries. - PL/SQL Tuning skills are a must! - UNIX shell scripting - Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently, requiring minimal direction and follow-up, or as part of a group (THIS IS KEY) *Preferred Skills and Experience::*- Experience with XML, Java - Knowledge of Pro*C - Knowledge of trading or financial exchange systems - BMC control-M application experience - Clear Case - Web Services *Regards, * *Rashmi Singh(Technical Resource Specialist)Ramy Infotech IncPhone: 408-317-9256 Ext-334 Fax : 408-273-6834Email: [email protected] <[email protected]>Note: We are working with prime vendor (One Layer between) for this position. * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Oracle Developers" group.
