Concerning the maximum speech rate of 250, I am sorry that that is there;
there is no good reason for it. It might have originated based on an
absolute rate used by ViaVoice or something similar. I have changed the
maximum to 999 in cvs. I really should make a new release, as there have
been several changes since the last release, but I believe I have further
broken DEC-talk support and would like to get that fixed if possible
before making another release.
