Yes, there is speech support for hard drive installation. Are you
using 0.6 or 0.7? Here are instructions for 0.7:
1) Boot Oralux from the CD.
2) Once you have a shell going, gain root access and type
"knoppix-installer". This should start up the installation program. FRom
there, it's pretty much a matter of following the instructions they give
you; partitioning the hard drive if need be, telling the installer which
drive to use, etc. When it asks for the type of installation, make sure
you choose "knoppix-like", or Oralux will not install properly, and you
may lose speech either during or after the install (one of the Oralux
experts might want to clarify this part.)
