There is speech support for the install. Just do this: First of all, make sure that all the settings you want for Oralux are the way you want them. This includes the volume, keyboard, synthesizer, desktop, network configurations and whatever else you feel like fiddling around with.
Now, for the good stuff. Once that is all set up right, become root and then do this: knoppix-installer Now, you will be prompted for where you want the install to go. You will want the knoppix-like install or you will seriously muck up your system. In fact, if you use the Debian like install, if it is even offered to you, you won't be able to use the system. You will have to use the cd and re-install. Now, when you get through the prompts for the install and answer them all, the system will begin installing Oralux to the given hard drive. This will take a while and the system will sit there, counting, for quite a while. On this system, it takes the better part of two hours. Once this is all finished, finish all the prompts at the end of the installation script. This is whether or not to create a boot floppy. I never do this as I have my cd and my complete environment on a little portable hard drive my wife bought for me.
