Cheers for the reply: i have worked through the bizdoc app (including
the tutorial) and understand how it is put together. I am doing
something very similar and therefore will use it as a starting
point...if you do have a schema for the xml:db processors, letting me
know the attributes I can use then it would be appreciated!

The XML:DB processors are actually not yet documented (shame!). But
look 
at the BizDoc sample: it features a full-fledged backend using those 
processors to access eXist.
