Thank for this clarification and for adding this perspective to the
discussion. We are working internally a specification for the XPL
language, which will be released soon. While working on this
specification, we have considered a few options to address the issue
initially raised by Eric van de Vlist, but have not found any of those
very satisfactory. Once we are done with the "basics" (the specification
for the current XPL), we'll need to further discuss this, and possibly
experiment with a few options. While doing so, your feedback during the
discussion will be highly valuable.
