Hi, Modules are the vehicle to distribute widgets in. There are two choices:
1. Add a new module and add your tag cloud in it 2. Add your tag cloud widget in the existing Orchard.Tags module I am fine with both as long as the widget is cool and does what it's supposed to do. The way to submit #1 would be via the gallery, the way to submit #2 would be via submitting a fork to codeplex. No matter which one you choose, I would reuse the Tag concept introduced in the Orchard.Tags module. That also means that if you choose #2, you may want to make sure your module depends on Orchard.Tags so when it's disabled, your module is disabled as well. I'm midway through making my first widget at the moment. It's a simple module that contains a widget and there's not too much else going on so it's quite easy to find the right bits. It also took me a while to figure out that you need to install the widget using Migrations or the Widget manager page won't know about your widget.
