Ew. Seems like my e-mail got all butchered. Let's try again in plain text.

Hello everyone!

We have a couple of Christmas treats for you today! First, last night we
released Orchard 0.9.

This release has one new feature: content lists
(http://orchardproject.net/docs/Creating-lists.ashx), and lots and lots of bugs
fixes and performance improvements. Oh, and one little detail: it works in
medium trust... This version should be rather close to what we'll ship
mid-January as Orchard 1.0. Differences you can expect in v1.0 are pretty much
only bug fixes. And new themes (Jon and Michael are working on a few right now).

One thing to know about 0.9 is that we decided to make the default installation
leaner on modules. In consequence, we moved lots of modules that used to be
built-in to optional downloads from the Orchard Gallery. Which makes for a nice
transition...

Our second treat is the launch of the Orchard Gallery. Previously, we only had
a somewhat naked XML feed for modules and themes. That feed is still there, but
it's now exposed from a complete gallery web site:
http://orchardproject.net/gallery09

Now do you want to hear something really cool? The gallery site is an Orchard
application. And it's open-source:

Well, that's it for today, but hopefully it will keep you busy throughout the
long winter nights of those holydays. And by the way, now that we've dropped
this on you, it's worth mentioning that most of the core Orchard team is now
going on vacation so don't be surprised if you don't hear from us for a couple
of weeks. But you know what? That's the perfect opportunity to start answering
questions on the forums, which is a great way to help others, to build the
community and to learn something new.

Cheers, merry Christmas and a happy new year!
Bertrand on behalf of the Core Orchard Team
